Terms of use
The rules for using this website and its calculator.
Last updated 9 October 2026. The short version: our numbers are estimates, the operator's charter agreement is the real contract, and New York law applies.
Who runs Split Jet Cost
Charter Jet One, the air charter broker behind the Split Jet Cost name. Split Jet Cost is an air charter broker and is not a direct air carrier. We do not own or operate aircraft; every flight is operated by an FAA Part 135 (or foreign equivalent) direct air carrier in operational control of the aircraft.
The calculator and the figures are estimates
Hourly rates, per-person figures, worked examples and everything the split calculator produces are informational estimates for planning. They are not offers or quotes. A real price depends on the aircraft, operator, dates, routing, positioning, crew and airport costs at the time, and how a group shares it is a private matter between its members.
Quotes don't bind anyone
A quote is not a contract. The trip is booked only when the organiser, or the organiser's company, signs a charter agreement with the operating carrier and its payment terms are met. You will know the carrier, the aircraft type and the main terms before anything is signed.
Aircraft availability
Availability always depends on the operator's confirmation. Aircraft and crews can become unavailable for operational, maintenance, weather or regulatory reasons, and a repositioning flight can move or be cancelled if the trip that created it changes.
Taxes and fees
Domestic US flights carry the 7.5% federal excise tax and a segment fee per passenger for each leg. Trips abroad can bring foreign taxes and border fees. Landing, handling, parking, de-icing, catering, Wi-Fi and crew overnight costs may also apply; every quote says which are included and which are estimates.
Cancelling
Cancellations, changes and refunds follow the charter agreement. If one person in the group drops out, the price of the aircraft does not usually change, so agree within the group how that will be handled before booking.
Using the site
Requests must be genuine and sent with the travellers' knowledge. Do not try to break the site, overload it or copy it with automated tools. Links to government websites are for reference and are outside our control.
Liability
Everything here is general guidance provided as is. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses that result from relying on estimates, calculator results or general information on this site. The operating carrier is responsible for operating the flight, and nothing in these terms limits liability that the law says cannot be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of New York, and any dispute about them belongs in the courts located in New York.
Updates
We may update these terms now and then; the date at the top tells you which version applies.
