The methods
What each method does
The same bill, four ideas of fair. Pick the one your group agrees on before anyone books.
Equal shares
Shared cost divided by the number of people. Segment fees are added per person for the legs they fly.
By seat
Shared cost divided by seats taken. A household on four seats pays four seat shares.
By leg flown
Each leg's cost, weighted by flight time, shared by those aboard it. Legs with nobody aboard are shared by everyone.
By bags
A slice of the bill you choose, 20% by default, divided by bags; the rest divided by seat.
